After so many years of singing along to all the great music these guys have made it was really great to see them for the first time. The anticipation was great for this first date of the Summer 2008 tour!
The guys seemed to be concentrating on getting things right.. and they did an awesome job! A little banter and humlility here and there added greatly to the experience.
It is amazing to me how the messages in these songs are as fresh and appropriate now as ever.
Although the songs are not exactly the same as listening to the original recordings, they are very close - incorporating tastefull adjustments to accomodate the realities of the effects of time on all of us.
I wish that all who love their music could have the opportunity to see them on this tour.
I am sure in many venues they will sell out before most folks know they are coming - like they did in Santa Rosa. If you have the chance, go for it!
